Families,

Thank you to those families who could make it out today for our last Family Lunch Day of the year. Loved seeing so many families! Super huge shoutout to our amazing PTSA team and all the work they put into making these days happen. It was also fun to honor our last Student of the Month students this month. We had almost 100 students get recognized throughout the school. That was so cool to see and be a part of.

So much to celebrate as we start to enter into our last full week of the year. Have a great weekend!

Meet our New Assistant Principal

As you know Mrs. Smallwood has accepted a principal position at Woodward Middle School. Because of that, we had the opportunity to go through the hiring process for a new Assistant Principal.

I would like to introduce to you Ms. Ginger Cooper. She comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience in education. Ginger has recently been a Language Arts teacher and was previously a special education teacher as well. We are excited to have her on board and I know she is excited to meet our students and families as well.

Volunteers Needed for Roof Off the Ridge!

Roof Off the Ridge Field Day is Thursday, June 17th, and we need your help to make this fun end-of-year celebration a success for our students!
We're looking for volunteers to help with activities, supervision, setup, and cleanup. Whether you can volunteer for part of the day or stay longer, we'd love to have you join us.

Thank you for helping us give our Raiders an unforgettable end to the school year!

Track Construction 🦺

This summer, our track is going to be getting a makeover. Because of that, there are going to be a couple of access areas that will be impacted. For one, the gate on the far side of the track will be closed. Students who travel through that gate to and from school will have to use an alternate route. This will start on June 8th. The picture shows an alternate route that students can take if need be.

Also, during construction over the summer, our track and field will not be accessible to the community. We are looking forward to a new and improved track to be ready just in time for our fall track season!

No More After-School Homework Help Club

This week was the last week of after-school Homework Help for the school year! There will be no more after-school Homework Help available this year. A huge thank you to Mrs. Pulvers, Mrs. Jaeckel, and all of our amazing student National Junior Honor Society student tutors for the time and support you provided to students throughout the year. We appreciate all that you have done for our Raiders. We will see you back for Homework Help in the fall!

Attention Current 8th Grade Families

Don’t forget that FinalForms registration is open for the 2026–2027 school year for all, including incoming high school students. Many high school sports begin communication, conditioning, open gyms, camps, and summer opportunities during the spring and summer months, so we encourage families to register as soon as possible.

Please take a look at the high school athletics’ websites (CKHS linked here and OHS linked here) to learn more and make sure that your child is registered for any sports they are interested in and fully cleared through FinalForms. We do not want families to miss communication from high school coaches regarding upcoming opportunities and information.

Families will need to click the blue button at the top of their student’s FinalForms account that says “Click to Switch to 2026–27 Registration” in order to complete registration for next school year. High school student-athletes must be registered for 2026–27 athletics in order to participate in summer athletics opportunities.
Best of luck to our future Cougars, Trojans, and all of our students as they begin their high school athletics journey!

7th Grade Tdap Immunization Requirement 💉

Washington state law requires all students entering 7th grade to have a Tdap booster or an exemption form on file before the first day of school. Tdaps given on or after 10 years of age meet this requirement. If you need an appointment with a provider, schedule it now; wait times can be lengthy. If your student needs a sports physical, your provider may be able to give the Tdap booster at the same time. If you need help finding a provider, contact your school nurse or call the Kitsap Public Health District at 360-728-2235.

Would you like to be an Adult Mentor for our students? 🙋🏼‍♂️

Ridgetop is in need of adult mentors. All it takes is 1 hour per week to make a difference in a student's life. The goal of the mentoring program is to develop positive relationships between schools and students, parents, and community.  All mentors receive training on how to support students with goal setting, and peer relationships.

Mentoring takes place on school property. Mentors may play board games, draw, practice flashcards, read, discuss grades and study habits, or just spend time talking. If this sounds like something you can do, please get in contact with our building coordinator Jeff Kahler@ jeffreyk@ckschools.org. Adult mentors make a huge difference in a youth's life.
