Families,
Whew, things have been busy here at The Ridge this week! We wrapped up SBA testing, students are starting to get towards the end of their work for the year, and the end is almost in sight.
This past week, I had the opportunity to spend some time reflecting on the year, how it went, the highs, the lows, and what we want to do next year. As a leader, these are always good opportunities because it gives me the chance to slow down a bit and appreciate all the amazing people that we have in our Raider Family. It also gets me super excited for what is to come in the coming days to wrap up the year and what is ahead for next year!
For now, we are focusing on finishing strong! Enjoy the 3 day weekend!

FinalForms registration is now open for the 2026β27 school year! This includes all incoming 6th graders, current 6th and 7th graders, and our current 8th graders preparing for their freshman year.
Registration is required for all students who plan to participate in a club or sport next year. Washington state law requires all students entering 7th grade to have a Tdap booster or an exemption form on file before the first day of school. Tdaps given on or after 10 years of age meet this requirement. If you need an appointment with a provider, schedule it now; wait times can be lengthy. If your student needs a sports physical, your provider may be able to give the Tdap booster at the same time. If you need help finding a provider, contact your school nurse or call the Kitsap Public Health District at 360-728-2235. |

This year, every month we are going to have a specific character focus that we are working on as a school. Each week, we will be focusing on different aspects of being a professional student.
For the month of May we are focusing on excellence. Our message to students is that this month, with state testing, and getting towards the end of the semester, we are focusing on trying our best in everything we do. Not only are we focusing on academics, but also doing our best in our relationships with peers and staff, as well as following school expectations. |
Here is a link to our sporting events for the coming week. |
Ridgetop is in need of adult mentors. All it takes is 1 hour per week to make a difference in a student's life. The goal of the mentoring program is to develop positive relationships between schools and students, parents, and community. All mentors receive training on how to support students with goal setting, and peer relationships.
Mentoring takes place on school property. Mentors may play board games, draw, practice flashcards, read, discuss grades and study habits, or just spend time talking. If this sounds like something you can do, please get in contact with our building coordinator Jeff Kahler@ jeffreyk@ckschools.org. Adult mentors make a huge difference in a youth's life. |
