Families,

We have got a busy week coming up before Spring Break. We are celebrating our March Students of the Month, our 8th graders are going on their career field trip, it is Spirit Week, AND we are capping off the week with a fun Friday activity called Game On Before Gone!

Lot's of fun stuff going on before we head into Spring Break. Please keep in mind that our offices will be closed during the break and we won't have a weekly newsletter next week.

Have a great weekend!

8th Grade Field Trip To High Schools

Our 8th graders will be going on a field trip to visit their respective high schools on April 14th. We NEED their field trip forms signed and turned back in no later than Tuesday, 3/31 at 2:05pm.

If they do not turn in their form by then, they will NOT be able to go to the field trip. With Spring Break, we need to get our forms for this field trip turned in earlier so that we can ensure we are prepared. Thank you.

Lost and Found Getting Cleared Out Soon! 👕

Our Lost and Found is getting really full again. We are planning to donate any left over items after April 16th. Thank you.

Kona Ice is Coming Back Next Month!

I know all of our students who prepaid for Kona Ice this past week couldn't get their treats. Below is the message I sent to families about how to either get a refund or use their prepayment for next month.

Families,

I am very sorry, but we were not able to get to all of our 6th grade students and some of the other grade level students who prepaid for Kona Ice today. After talking with the Kona Ice people, we have two options for students. They can wait till next month and get their Kona Ice then, OR you can connect with Kona Ice and get a refund. I have put their contact info below.

Regardless of which option you choose, please communicate with Kona Ice your choice so that way they can either get you on the list for next month or give you a refund.

Thank you and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

March Focus ☺️

This year, every month we are going to have a specific character focus that we are working on as a school. Each week, we will be focusing on different aspects of being a professional student.

For the month of March, we are focusing on Integrity. We are working on helping students understand what it means to do the right thing, even when it is hard.

Would you like to be an Adult Mentor for our students? 🙋🏼‍♂️

Ridgetop is in need of adult mentors. All it takes is 1 hour per week to make a difference in a student's life. The goal of the mentoring program is to develop positive relationships between schools and students, parents, and community.  All mentors receive training on how to support students with goal setting, and peer relationships.

Mentoring takes place on school property. Mentors may play board games, draw, practice flashcards, read, discuss grades and study habits, or just spend time talking. If this sounds like something you can do, please get in contact with our building coordinator Jeff Kahler@ jeffreyk@ckschools.org. Adult mentors make a huge difference in a youth's life.
