- I really want to travel more with my husband and our family. My big dream is to make it to every continent someday - I've made it to 3 so far! Whenever I travel, I love trying new foods, learning about the culture, and getting the chance to connect with people who have different life experiences than I do. Exploring new places together brings me so much joy, and it’s a dream I’m excited to keep working toward!

- My favorite part of the holidays is being with my family. I come from a very large, blended family, and even with all the different pieces, everyone gets along well, which means I get to see siblings, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and family friends all season long. It can be a little hectic, too, since we sometimes end up visiting four or five houses in a single day! During winter break, my husband (who is a middle school teacher) and I like to sneak away to a cozy cabin with our dogs for a couple of days to relax and watch far too many holiday movies.

- Probably Scooby-Doo and the whole Mystery Inc. crew. Solving goofy mysteries, running into hijinks, and always ending the day with the group safe, the bad guy caught, and everyone laughing together sounds like a pretty great time.

- I learn something new every single day, both inside and outside of school. Being a lifelong learner is a big part of why I feel so passionate about working in education. Since this is my first year at Ridgetop, I’m growing a lot in my role and getting to know what makes this community so special: the people, the care we show one another, and the commitment to lifting each other up.

I also believe it's important not to get too comfortable or assume you have all the answers. Things, and people, are always changing. I try to honor my own growth and the growth of those around me, while also pushing myself to keep learning because that’s what our students, staff, and the people in my life deserve. It’s also what makes life more exciting! That constant learning and reflection is a big part of how I try to lead.

- One of my neighbors goes all out for many holidays, filling their yard with inflatables and other special items. Taking walks past their house brings me so much joy and glee. My children love it, too; we've even used it as the background to a holiday card we shared with all our friends and family one winter. And I might do it again! Hope they don't mind...

- Bluey (and family!)

- Collaborating with others, listening to different perspectives than my life experience has afforded me, and working together on a mission or task that serves others is my favorite way to learn, lead, and grow, both personally and professionally. In our home, instead of talking about "what they want to be when they grow up", I talk to my babes about how "they are going to make the world a better place."
