Raider Families,
We have another busy week ahead of us here at The Ridge, and we are looking forward to welcoming many of our families into the building for Fall Conferences this Wednesday and Thursday!
Conferences are a great opportunity for families to connect with teachers, hear about how their students are doing, and work together to support their success. We hope all of our families are able to join us! As we get ready for conferences, we want to share a quick reminder about keeping conversations with individual teachers to around 5 minutes. We know there is a lot to talk about when it comes to your student, but keeping conversations brief helps ensure that all families have an opportunity to meet with teachers. If you have concerns or would like a longer conversation, we encourage you to reach out to your student's teachers or counselors to schedule a separate time to connect. We appreciate your help in making conferences a positive experience for everyone! If you haven't already, please make sure to sign up for a time slot using the link below.
Conference Times:
- Wednesday, October 21: 4:00–7:30 PM
- Thursday, October 22: 7:30–11:00 AM and 12:00–3:30 PM
We are also looking forward to our upcoming Veterans Day Assembly! This is always a special opportunity for our school community to come together to recognize and honor the men and women who serve our country. We are excited to welcome families to join us for this event. More information about the assembly can be found below.
Finally, we have noticed quite a few students riding their bikes to school, which is great to see! With more bikes around campus, we want to make sure students are being safe and respectful of others. Please take a moment to review the bike safety reminders below with your student if they are riding their bike to school. We also want to remind students that they should not be riding their bikes on the Silver Ridge campus. We appreciate your help in keeping both school campuses safe for everyone.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are looking forward to seeing many of you at conferences this week!
Have an awesome weekend and enjoy the sun!

We would like to invite our Ridgetop families to join us for our Veterans Day Assembly as we come together to honor and recognize the brave men and women who have served our country. This is a special opportunity for our Raider Family to show our appreciation for their service and sacrifice.
We especially welcome veterans and military families to join us for this meaningful celebration. We hope to see you there!

We have been having a lot of students ride their bikes to school this year. That is great to see. We also want to ensure our students are being safe while riding their bike to and from Ridgetop. Please remember the following:
- Students should lock their bike up once they get to school.
- Students should NOT be riding their bike on school property before school, during school, and while after school activities are going on.
- If students are riding their bikes on Hillsboro Dr NW, please be mindful of cars that are on the street as well. We have had a handful of reports of students with e-bikes speeding in this road.

Our Lost and Found area is starting to get a lot of items. We are planning to do one more big push for students to get their items during conferences. The week after that we plan to donate what we have. Thank you.

We absolutely love when our students come out to support their fellow Raiders at a sporting event. Here are a few reminders for students to ensure that we all can enjoy cheering on our sports teams.
- ALL school rules apply when you are attending a sports event.
- If you are attending a sports event, you CANNOT stay on campus to wait for the start of that event. Most of our events start at 3:30pm. You need to leave campus and then come back at 3:30 to watch an event.
- Let's be Respectful Raiders! That means we aren't booing other teams or players. We are using respectful language and we are treating others around us with respect also.
|
As we continue settling into our school routines, we appreciate your help in making sure students come to school each day prepared with everything they may need: lunches, athletic gear, instruments, Chromebooks, and other school items.
We know that occasionally something gets forgotten (it happens to all of us!), but when possible, having everything ready before students arrive helps minimize interruptions to classrooms and keeps students focused on learning throughout the day.
Secondly, now that students have started to get into the routine of school, we are going to be tracking tardies to class. Please keep in mind that as tardies build, we have integrated consequences for every 3rd tardy. Please refer to the Student Handbook below.
Thank you for partnering with us to help our Raiders be prepared and ready for a great day!

Washington state law requires all students entering 7th grade to have a Tdap booster or an exemption form on file before the first day of school. Tdaps given on or after 10 years of age meet this requirement. If you need an appointment with a provider, schedule it now; wait times can be lengthy. If your student needs a sports physical, your provider may be able to give the Tdap booster at the same time. If you need help finding a provider, contact your school nurse or call the Kitsap Public Health District at 360-728-2235.
