Sports
  • Paperwork for our Winter II Sports should be turned in at this time. These sports will be Wrestling (for boys and girls grades 6-8) and girls basketball (grades 7-8). First practice will be January 9, 2017. If you do not get your paperwork turned in by then, you run the risk of not being able to suit up for the first day of try-outs. You can turn your paperwork in to Mrs. Langhorn and or Mrs. Leidy. Have questions? Come see Mrs. Langhorn or Mrs. Leidy. . (Langhorn TH-M)

Steps for playing a sport - Eligibility Information & Forms
‚Äč

Welcome to sports at Ridgetop Middle School. Involving yourself in sports is a great way to meet new friends, learn new skills from an excellent coaching staff, keep grades at a high level, and have a lot of fun! Our programs are based on player-development, fundamental skills, competition, and the team concept.

6th graders have the opportunity to participate in Cross-Country, Wrestling, and Track & Field.

You can access sign-up information by visiting the athletic eligibility page to see a list of steps to follow. You MUST have the SPORTS PHYSICAL completed before you can practice (they are good for two years). This is different from a regular doctor’s physical, so use the form we provide. If you cannot print the information from our website, packets are also available in the RMS office.

For questions, contact the main office at 360-662-2900.

Click on the button below for the sport you are playing to get up to date information from the coaches, and to see the game schedule (when posted).

Questions: contact Ridgetop Middle school Cheer Coach Mackenna Long at mackennal@ckschools.org

The Ridgetop Cheer Team is a year-round activity for 7th, and 8th grade students who have been selected through a try-out process.  The RIJH Cheer Team participates at all varsity football and basketball games, varsity wrestling matches, Spirit Week assemblies, parades, and many other activities throughout the year. Mackenna Long is the head coach. Questions for her can be called in to the school office and a message will be left in her box, or you can email her at mackennal@ckschools.org

Tryouts take place in the spring prior to the upcoming year.

For 2016-2017 we are looking at the possibility of adding 6th graders sometime during the school year.
