Rusty Willson at Ridgetop
Before he became our principal, Rusty Willson worked at Ridgetop for 12 years. Here he is at the school in 2013!

Rusty Willson has taken the lead as our new school principal!

Principal Stuart Crisman has become the new principal of the district's Alternative programs.

Mr. Willson is not new to Central Kitsap School District. He is well known to many in our community from his 12 years at Ridgetop (Junior High), serving as a teacher, dean of students, athletic director, activities director and Associated Student Body leader.

For the past two years, Mr. Willson has been the principal of Kitsap Lake Elementary in the Bremerton School District. He holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and a bachelor’s degree in history and elementary education.

Also joining the Ridgetop administrative team, as your new assistant principal, is Elizabeth Forbes. Ms. Forbes is currently a teacher, middle school coordinator, and principal intern at West Hills STEM Academy. Prior to that, she taught for nine years covering all school grades and many subjects. Ms. Forbes holds a master’s degree in teaching and a bachelor’s degree from Evergreen State College.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Forbes to our district—and to welcome Mr. Willson back!
